I am having huge champagne problems. Having been accepted to both, HEC's Grande Ecole master in management and LBS's MIM, I cannot decide which offer to accept.
I think it is relevant to mention that I already have an undergrad management degree. Thus, HEC's specializations are appealing. On the other hand I don't speak any french. My career goals are vaguely defined: I might work in my family business but starting a business on my own is definitely an option if opportunity arises.
Please help me with this difficult decision.
thanks a lot!
You will have probably made your decision already but here are my two cents:
Both schools are great so you can't go wrong with either of the two. It really boils down to your goals and preferences. You should visit both to decide what you prefer. HEC is outside the city and has an awesome campus where you get the full student life experience. On the other hand, LBS is located in the heart of London. Which can be both great and crappy as it takes away from the campus atmosphere. The MiM at HEC is French dominated but other programs on campus (specialised Masters (e.g. MiF, MSc in Marketing etc.)) are very international. So it also matters if you enjoy this French aspect or you prefer something strictly English. If you are from the UK or US then HEC might be more interesting. Also cost is another thing to consider. Life at HEC is not expensive compared to living in the centre of London.
You will get great jobs from both pretty much anywhere you want (as long as it makes sense based on your background and knowledge of languages).
