CAT Tests

Could you give us some more information? What CATs have you taken? What are your scores and Q/V splits? How have you been studying thus far and for how long?

That's a good starting point for info that anyone will need to give you an educated opinion.

You need to stop taking practice tests and focus on the basics. You must be getting frustrated, answering questions based on a hunch rather than quickly spotting the booby traps and choosing the final answer with utmost confidence.

Yes, a split between Q and V would be great - though I take it you might need some reinforcement in all parts of the exam.

After awhile, if your brain can't read the question and focus, it's because you don't know what you're supposed to focus on. Take a step back, identify this question is being a certain question type (as opposed to a foreign question). If you're able to classify it in your head as "oh, this is a question on x&y consistency" or this question is about "weakening an argument" - you can already think in your head several ways that you can do this and it'll help you sort through the answer choices at a faster rate with greater precision.
