Help building MBA school list / 710 GMAT 3.1 GPA [#permalink] New post 25 May 2011, 19:55
My background:

1 yr starting commercial real estate business (2 years at admission), two other start-ups. 710 GMAT, 3.1 GPA - strong recommendation letters.

I'm wondering where I have a realistic shot for this upcoming cycle. I'm not interested in advice such as: Spend another 3 years building up your business experience, etc, I already know that would bolster my application. Thanks for the help.

What's your post-MBA goals?
Do you have a preference to location of school and/or work post-MBA?
What have you been doing outside of work?
What are some of your leadership initiatives both in and outside of work?

Without these answers, it'll be hard for others to judge your chances of getting admitted in the upcoming cycle.

It's sort of asking for your college professor for a final grade but you've only turned in 2 homework thus far, and have 20 more homework and 3 exams. We'll need more information to better gauge your chance.

Just guessing from your username that you're from Wisconsin. If you're wanting to stay in real estate, doesn't UW have a really good program? Your 710 would be at the 90th percentile there, which might mitigate your short work experience.
