Hi All, I need some advice from all you experinced people.
So I have as BS in Business Administration: emphasis on Management from ASU Carey School of Business ( 3.0 gpa) and was looking into a Master in Finance or MBA with emphasis in Finance. I have been looking at the curriculum for MBA‘s and a lot of the classes are classes I have already taken in undergrad so Im starting to question MBA. I was thinking that MBA was better initially, but now I think that Masters would be better in cost and curriculum. I really want to into the Banking industry or become a Trader. Can you guys help me out deciding on what’s best route to take.
My experience in finance includes 4 years in Hotel( AR/AP, Budgeting, Sales Forecasting)while in college, 1 Year of Project Finance( A/P, Contract Pricing/ Proposals Project Forecasting, etc.) with a major consulting firm, and 3months (and would be 1 year by the time i go back to school) in the Transit industry( Budgeting, Proposals)
I have a 720 GMAT score, but looking to take test again.
Can you people help me decide.
Thanks. Kris C.

With so much work experience, an MBA is the most natural thing. MBA teaches you not only classes. They are easy anyway. It teaches you leadership, personal development and above all, provide you with the chance to make a lot of connections in the field.

because there are just so many MBA programs now nationwide, I think only the top MBA now hold any real value. MS in Finance is a little different. Somewhat scarce, so I think there's a little more room to wiggle in them. Also, they're very heavy in finance.
