Hi All,
this is going to be my first post. I would be writing in more detailed
manner. So i have done engineering with CGPA 7.10 (Computer Engineering). Currently working with a IT Firm from past 1.5 years.
I am completely frustrated with my job and only way i see for my bright future is to give GMAT. so with using power of google and forum like this i got to dig more about GMAT also Downloaded many free contents about GMAT. i have video lectures and pdf's along it test preparation software. Now my plan is to give GMAT after 8-months since till that date my job experience will be of 2+ years and it will give me enough time to prepare for GMAT. from last 2 weeks i have started from video lectures mostly on YouTube. Still undecided about b-Schools , country, financial planning. Firstly i am just concentrating on preparing my self to give diagnosis test about a month later to see where i am standing. as many of you have already given a GMAT and have experience about exam. So would be seeking a derailed preparation Guide from you. Means from where i can start so that i can score high enough to get best b-School.
since i am currently working i am not is position for joining the tuition classes. i can give 2 daily hours delicately and 4+ on weekend planning for giving practice test mostly. i hope you guys guide me to well planned for next 7-8 Months.
Practice more..!!!!
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
It is good that you have though about the next step in your career.
You have stated that you are planning to give the GMAT after 7-8 months. But studying for that long might actually be counter productive.
Generally 3-4 months of dedicated study are good to get a good score.
Since you have already gone through the research part, you have started right on track
Also, you have mentioned about collecting free content from various resources. I would recommend against it.
Take a resource and stick to it.
Solving and understanding the official questions is a must and make sure that you keep an
error log all throughout your preparation.
This will make sure that you do not repeat your mistakes.
Here is a detailed study plan that you can follow along with any resource you want:
