I have been informed by the admissions of my dream school that I need to improve my GMAT score by 30 points. I took the test in August and scored a 620 (Q:39 --> 46 percentile. V:35 --> 75th percentile). Obviously I have a lot of room for improvement in the quant section. I plan to retake the test in January, giving me around two and a half months to prepare.

In studying for my first attempt, I used Jeff Sachman's Total GMAT Math as well as the books from Veritas Prep. I need recommendations regarding alternative quant books that anyone has had success with.

Again, I need to improve my score to 650, which I intend to do by improving my quant score.

Open to any suggestions!

Michael,
I'm happy to help.

First of all, here's a three-month plan designed precisely for someone in your situation:

You will have to shave off a little, but since you not brand new to the GMAT, you could probably shave off some of the introductory material.

Next, here are a few blog articles about studying for GMAT math:

Our video lessons contain not only all the content, but also the time-saving strategies that can win you those extra points on the test. Here's a practice PS question:

Here's a practice DS question:
http://gmat.magoosh.com/questions/1019
For each one of those, after you submit your answer, the next page will have a complete video explanation. Each one of our practice GMAT questions, math & verbal, has its own video explanation, for accelerated learning.

Even if you decide not to sign up for Magoosh, I hope you get the most out of that free blog. There are a ton of math tips on that blog that can help you make up this Quant difference on the test.

Best of luck to you.
Mike

Go through Veritas guides again, they are excellent. After that try gmat club tests.
