I have recently been offered admission to Tepper with $10K and I also have admission offer from Vanderbilt/Washington with almost full scholarship amount. Is it worth to get into Tepper and arrange the monstrous fund or the other colleges are good enough.
there is a slight ranking difference between tepper and olin, but so what? don't struggle with the top 20 vs non-top20 status. they are both very good schools.
by looking at number, tepper undoubtedly got a upper hand - little higher graduation rate and start up salary. but i always believe that if you are a $100K per year material, you will get that regardless you graduate from tepper or olin.
one of the things you want to consider may be your career goal. if companies like amazon, google are what you really want to get into, tepper can be a better help because it send the most students to those high tech companies. if your career goal doesn't really align with Tepper, go to the other schools that offers you a free ride~
we are talking about a $100K difference, which roughly equals to $12K a year in repayment for like 10~15 years - that is a lot of money.
