Hi CKG.
If it is additional questions that you need, I would strongly recommend that you stick with official GMAT questions to the extent that you are able to, especially since your issues seem to be more with Verbal. It is very difficult to write Verbal questions and have them properly mimic the logic of real GMAT questions (its a little easier to do for Quant but still difficult). In my opinion nothing really compares to the official questions when it comes to Verbal. And if you have been using 3rd party questions a lot, you may even find that you need to change what you are doing a little to adjust to the real questions (as an example, authentic GMAT SC questions tend to be more meaning-based whereas 3rd party SC questions tend to be more grammar-based).
If you have been getting strategies from the company you are using that is helpful, but I would try to practice with real questions. If you have tapped the
OG 13, there is also the
OG Verbal Review. Once you burn through that, there is question pack 1 on the GMATPrep software, which has an additional 200 or so Verbal questions. And if you need more, I would go with the paper tests that you can purchase on mba.com.
Hope that helps!!!
Hi ReasonGMAT,
Sure, I will purchase
verbal OG and start practicing it. Once completed will continue with GMAT prep question pack I (I do have it already, which I purchased for my last GMAT attempt.).
Yes, you are correct. Verbal is the area I am currently concentrating and want deliberately to improve. I am putting in lots of efforts in verbal currently(Almost around 4 to 5 hours daily).
Just started solving Veritas prep free question bank from yesterday (Not sure how good they are, however liked the interface of the tool and their error analysis). These questions seem to be very tough in verbal. I will put this on hold and as of now, I will start with
OG verbal and after completing it will take up GMAT prep question pack 1.
After that will take a mock test and see how my scores are improving.
I am not sure about buying paper based GMAT test, as it seems to be bit expensive. Would you suggest any other question bank other than this.
My aim is to have consistent scores in verbal (above 37).
Thanks for your suggestion.
Regards,
CKG.
