Help on Strategies [#permalink] New post 03 Apr 2006, 06:32
Hi All,
This is a great forum here.I guess all strategies and tips had been discussed in various postings and I have been reading those and would like to have some advise.I plan to give my Gmat in June.I have got Kaplan Gmat 2005.I am planning to get OG 11 th edition. Will the 2 books and the pratice tests in those 2 would suffice? Is Verbal needs the all word lists to be cracked like GRE?
Also any tips for the preparation will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

it depends where you are starting from... how strong is your quant how weak are your SC ? i would take a few diagnostic tests from kaplan and PR ... this way you know where you stand. when i took my full length kaplan diag i scored a 570 so i needed some work ... i got the kaplan course book kaplan 2005 book kaplan 800 book (which i havent looked at yet) and the OG11 ( which is amazing ) my last PP test was a 700 my gmat is in 10 days.

So like i said it all depends on how much work you need

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your response.I am taking my diagnostic test with Kaplan. After that I guess I should be able to nail down the area I should concentrate on.Is it necessary to crack the word lists like GRE?

Thanks.

no there is no need to cram words like the GRE ... however the GRE is far simpler than the GMAT. Take your diag test, search through some peoples study plans ( soo many are posted ) pick and chose what you like then post your own version and im sure people will comment on it.

Good luck !
