Why am i always wrong, especially when i have successfully narrowed down to two closest option, i pick the wrong one!!

in the following three questions i had same problem; chose wrong of two closest options. :-(

1) laundry-detergent-81493.html
2) lark-81758.html
3) crazy-bank-statement-question-81752.html#p613326

pls advise, how do i improve! pls help!!

Target i am on the same boat as you.. help needed.

For the laundry detergent problem i still think the ans is A.
For the bank statement question , i m not sure if this a gmat type one...but still i would want to get it right.
