Help pls- Ross vs Darden vs McCombs for EMBA -ADVISE NEEDED [#permalink]
27 May 2011, 01:16
I have offers from serveral EMBA programs. I have narrowed them down to Ross, Darden, and McCombs. There is little information on GMAT Club about EMBA programs. The different rankings (US News, Business Journal, Wall Street Journal....) are all over the chart. I am interested in Consulting (goal: Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co, McKinsey, etc...), Entrepreneur programs, and a program with a strong focus in finance (goal: Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, etc..). After graduation, my preference would be to work on the West Coast. However, I would consider other areas in the US and Internationally. Looking for advise and guidance. Thank you!!!!

I think people who pursue EMBA tend to stay with the company.

Namebrand-wise, you can't go wrong with any of them. Either one will attract the type of recruiters you're talking about. However, I'm a bit curious as to how you're going to travel between your job and your EMBA? Unless it's sponsored by your company, but that also will mean that you'll be "repaying" your debt with the same company.

Ah, that puts things in perspective. Again, I really don't see much of a difference for the schools you mentioned. All of which are great schools that attract the type of recruiters you're looking for (EMBA may be different, but it's something that you can easily find online or through the career center).
