A little background info, since high school I had been planning on attending Law School to become a Tax Lawyer. After getting a 164 on the LSAT, getting accepted to a few "target schools" and beginning to examine my options, I have decided law school is not for me. The job prospects just are not there unless graduating at the very top of your class. I have decided to look into MS Accounting or MAcc programs.
I am a Business Admin with concentration in Accounting major. I have a 3.8 GPA (4.0 in major). I attend a small state school in Pennsylvania, I really have no relevant work experience (I worked throughout college at my families restaurant), and my university really didn't offer any internship opportunities. I am looking for a Masters program with an internship built in to give me relevant work experience, and hopefully lead to a job in the firm which I intern with. The only programs I know of with internships are Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and Northeastern (MBA/MAcc). Any insight on these programs or advice on other programs with internships built in would be very helpful. Thanks!
