Hi all,
I am starting my GMAT journey and i need some strategy advices. I took the economist test without any preparation and scored 600, 44 on quant and 28 on verbal. Most of my quant mistakes were stupid and i understood them when i checked my false answers. On the verbal though, it was bad. I than took some more practice questions from the GMATprep software, and on quant i got better, but with the verbal section i still sucked. what would be the right way for me to study? which books? which online courses? i am an hebrew speaker but my english is ok. I am planning to study full time between august 15th to october 15th. is that enough if i want to break the 700 barrier? is it possible to improve by 100 points?
Thanks.
Hey assaffff,
With a study plan from August 15th to October 15th, you gave yourself two months to study. Here is a customized 2-3 month study plan that can help boost your score:
https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-planUse this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning.
As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.
The SC section is the easiest verbal section to make improvements on. Once you understand how to think and approach this question type, there are only so many ways you can be tested. Here at GMAT Pill we developed the 10 core frameworks which detail the 10 ways to approach GMAT sentence corrections.
Here is a sample video detailing one of the core frameworks:

Here is a video describing the visual framework approach:

That's why you might find these video walkthroughs helpful:
