I really appreciate your feedback.. thanks!

I am 27 year old male. I have 3 years of investment banking in Asia and 2 years of commercial real estate acquisitions experience in the US. I have a 700 GMAT and a 2.9 GPA from a top 5 school.

I have a valid reason for my low GPA score for the optional essay.

What do you believe are my chances for Wharton or Columbia?

I am particularly interested in applying for their real estate program.

Thanks,

Macho_1979,

You didn't give me alot of info to go on, but assuming you have some strong leadership stories (hopefully outside of work as well as in) then you may have a fair chance at Wharton or CBS. Given that you went to a "top 5" school the adcoms will cut you slack for the 2.9 GPA.

Good luck,
