A is the correct answer here.

Hippies is plural. So we need "their" => B and E out.
D is awkward as usage of "such" distorts the meaning.
A uses the correct relative clause => which modifies the "peace movements" (noun closest to it).

a) their desire for pacifism and tolerance through peace movements, which included HIPPIES AND THEIR=PARALLEL, WHICH AFTER A COMA AND WHICH INCLUDED IS PRECISE TO MODIFY THE NOUN BEFORE IT.
b) its desire for pacifism and tolerance through peace movements, which included HIPPIES ARE PLURAL SO ITS IS NOT CORRECT
c) their desire for pacifism and tolerance through peace movements, that were to include THAT WERE TO UNCLUDE IS TOO WORDY.
d) such desire for pacifism and tolerance through peace movements, which included SUCH DESIRE THROUGH IS NOT CORRECT
e) its desire for pacifism and tolerance through peace movements,including ITS AND HIPPIES ARE NOT PARALLEL

their is correct and should be there in the correct answer. Leaves us with A and C.
Between A and C => C is too wordy with "that were to include". Hence A is the correct answer!
