I gave GMAT about 5 years ago, without much preparation scored 660 (Q49, V31). Disappointed, I chose to retake and dinged again with a 650 (Q50, V28). I gave up back then and continued with my course of life.
Last year, I was again at crossroads of my career and wanted to give GMAT a good try. I started preparation in November last year, but could not persist due to work pressures. I started preparing seriously since March 2013. My scores started rather disappointingly but improved with preparation:
MGMAT1: 600 (V38, Q34)
MGMAT CAT 2 640 V 34 Q43
MGMAT CAT 3 650 V 35 Q 45
GMAT Prep 1 720 V39 Q 50
MGMAT CAT 4 650 V 35 Q 44
MGMAT CAT 5 670 V34 Q 47
GMAT Prep 2 690 (V35, Q49)
MGMAT CAT 6 710 (V41 Q46)
GMAT Prep 1 repeat 760 (V42, Q50)
GMAT Prep 2 repeat 750 (V 44, Q49)
I did
OG 13 SC and CR twice, VR2 SC and CR twice.
Subscribed to
e-gmat SC course weeks before the exam and gone through the course with scores for each level at 80-100 level.
It is beyond me where I am doing it wrong. I can rule out endurance issue with the exam as I was pretty comfortable for most part of the exam. Timing too can be ruled out as I was pretty much on expected time for most part of the exam.
I am not sure what to do now!
