There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
You should definitely feel good about it. The GMATprep is the best indicator of how you will do on the real thing. What you need to do now is wait a few days, and try the GMATprep again. If you repeat your success, you should just work on your test taking execution and you can expect an outstanding score.
I think with the CAT, flukes are pretty rare. A second CAT result probaly means you are in the correct range. Good job!
diegmat that is so awesome! Don't worry about it being wrong. You are just that good In my experience, actual GMAT was JUST LIKE THE GMATPREP. I think that pelihu's advice is a sound out: wait a few days, take it again and you'll do more than fine on the actual. keep us updated!
That's terrific. GMATPrep scores are a close predictor of the real test. Wait a few days, take it again to see what you score. Maybe take another different test (MGMAT or Princeton) just to make sure your GMATPrep install isn't wonky (very unlikely, but nevertheless). If you're scoring 750+ each time, then you are a very talented guy/girl and you should set your exam date and be finished with it!

I just scored an unreal score on GMATPrep test #2 - 770 (Q50 V44). First time taking it.
I felt like crap taking the exam but ended up doing very very well...anyone have any thoughts here? Anyone else have anything flukey like this happen to them or should I feel GOOD about this???
Why must the GMAT make people so insecure?!?!
that's funny and sad. funny because I just got the same score on my GMATPrep, same Q and V scores (7 and 8 wrong resp.). and saved as desktop backdrop to admire. sad because it was my 3 or 4th time taking it in 2 weeks.
actually i also took it for the first time on the weekend and got 770. But in my case i recognized many questions which i did earlier (specially CR and SC ) probably from OG so i am not feeling good about it. I deliberately avoid questions posted here from GMATprep though.
It even had a bug -it showed me the same question two times !.
