I thought you were going to announce that you were admitted. You guys are pretty excited considering it's just a change in announcement date.

I will have to turn down the brightness on my monitor when you guys post your admit notices. 8-)

I didn't apply R1 (I might do R2), but just curious on why they bumped it up? Perhaps application volume was not as high this year as they expected?

I wonder too. That seems counterintuitive considering it's placement in BW rankings. Maybe the R1 applicants suck :(

Maybe some potential R1 applicants thought like:

Wow, no that's GSB is Numero Uno I will not rush in, but will invest more time and effort in preparing the application and submit it in R2?

Kinda like how the hot girl never gets asked out? I didn't buy that theory in high school, and I don't buy it now. :)

I am pleased with this development. Maybe Chicago didn't extend very many interview requests for Round 1. If so, that may bode well for the applicants who interview during the Round 1.

Out of the 67 applicants on admission411, 39 recieved interviews (or 58%). This is in line with Rose's comments on BW that they were planning on interviewing 50-60%.
