Tricky question
CN talks about How to reduce no of follow up surgeries?
Things to note about these follow up surgeries:
They need to be done if the first is not successful... hence they are unavoidable....
say if 5 patients come to Hosp Z, 5 could need a follow up surgery (worst case)....
To lessen these follows up - u need to ensure first surgery is successful.. can be ensured up to some extent by having better professional staff (mind it not more).. This would cost Hosp Z money which is big issue anyway for them.
Hence the other option to reduce the follow up surgeries is to reduce the number of patients coming to Hosp Z (from 5 to 4 or 3..) This would in turn reduce the follow up surgeries.
Therefore option C serves the best in this situation.Although Option D does it by getting in a cost factor, this cannot solve the no of follow up surgeries as you can have rich people coming in more in number.
Option B talks about more professional staff which in no one can reduce no of follow up surgeries
Option A talks about risks and expensive options which again is irrelevant to the conclusion
Option E talks about charging the patient for follow up surgeries which again would not reduce the number.
Please note that the issue is the number of surgeries... and these follow up surgeries which cannot be avoided! The issue is not with the no charge!
