How accurate is the GMATPrep score?

i guess as long as u do not get nervous etc, very close.
700, 690 and actual 690

how about the online kaplan test?

Would the gmatprep retake of the test give a score close to actual score?

GMATPerp Test1 : 740
GMATPerp Test2 : 760

GMAT : 760

I took my first GmatPrep CAT a few weeks ago and got 610.
I studied some more and took an MGMAT CAT yesterday and got a 700.

I, however, will get extended time on the actual test and took my MGMAT CAT with that extra time, whereas GmatPrep didnt let me do that....I guess that accounts for such a drastic difference.

I also scored exactly the same in GMATPrep Test 2 and the actual GMAT test. No other test is anywhere close.

gmat prep1: 600 (one week before exam)
gmat prep2: 690 (one day before exam)

gmat: 610

....... i think I was too nervous about timing in the exam...

GMATprep:
1st test: 710
2nd test: 730
3rd test: 770 (night before exam)

MGAMT1: 700
MGAMT2: 730

Real GMAT: 670

GMAT Perp1: 720
GMAT Prep2: 720
Actual GMAT: 700
It cant get any closer...

I'm saving my second GMAT Prep until right before my actual test... partly for practice, and partly to set my expectations.

I hope the old paper tests are an indication. I got a 720 on my first GMATprep but after figuring out my weak points, mostly stupid mistakes misreading questions and the dreaded SC, I have hammered through half the paper tests in the last couple weaks and have gotten 750-780 on those and each one better than the last one.

I am saving the second CAT for a week or so before the test. I have been focusing a lot on the verbal section since I am confident as long as I take my time and read the quant carefully I will do fine on that. I think the thing that will affect a real score most compared to the prep is nerves...that alone probably can swing a person 30 points or more if nerves get the best of them.

It is quite accurate - assuming that you are not repeating the tests and other conditions (mental, physical etc etc) are the same on the real test day. The real scores are usually close to what is predicted by GMATPrep.

GMATPrep 1: 770
GMATPrep 2: 780

Real GMAT: 780

I'd say it is pretty damn accurate. Weird thing is I felt I had performed significantly different on each test, but the scores all came out the same.

Unfortunately, It did not get any closer in my case

I just wrote the first Kaplan CAT: 580 yikes!
GMAT Score Estimator: 657 (based on three db entries: 580, 680, 710)

not that it hasn't been said before, but nothing will be more accurate than the
GMATPrep estimate

don't fret about Kaplan, it is rubbish IMHO. I freaked after I took a Kaplan and scored 560 when a few weeks before I scored a 640 on GMATPrep.
Kaplan is definately a bit off...

What are your thoughts on the accuracy of manhattan CATs?
