How do you see my chances of making it to a good B School in America?
- 9 years of work experience in Sales and Account Management in the Technology sector, based in US for about 5 years. Worked with F500 clients across USA, Canada, UK and India
- Age : 33
- Undergrad BS from a Tier 2 University in India with CGPA 3.2
- MBA (marketing) from a top 10 B School in India. However, CGPA here is 2.85
- Volunteer with American Red Cross - community disaster education, blood servies, FEMA certified, CPR/AED certified
- President of Student Placement Committee in Grad school
- Top performer all along my working career, with 4 promotions in 6 years with a single employer.
- However, now feeling a glass ceiling with my industry and function and hence the second MBA desire. Also, an MBA at this stage would be a vastly different learning than the one I did with little experience.
Thanks for your time.
Hi Ravi,
Have you taken GMAT already? GMAT is a requisite for all programs in the US except for some part time MBAs and eMBAs.
I think you have a fairly good profile for part time MBAs and eMBAs. Are they under your consideration? These programs accept people with substantial work experience who want to do an MBA for career acceleration and not for major changes in industry/ function
