Hi bedo, welcome to the club!!

A very simple solution for you. Just buy a Barrens GMAT book. Since you need a 400 only, that book will serve the purpose.

Best of luck!!

There are plenty of useful books for such a "reasonable" target.
Your strategy depends on your background, but I think you can reach that by studying basic math that is easy to remember. Then , for the verbal, just learn the basic principles.
I suggest you have a power prep test so that you can assess your score now, to see where you have a greater margin for improvement.

My advice
400 doesn't need much of preparation. All you need to do is to concentrate on two topics(in both sections verbal and quant) that are tested heavily in the GMAT.
For Example:
For Quant: practice a lot on Number Properties and on RTD(rate and distance).
For Verbal: modifiers for sentence correction and critical reasoning ( I excluded reading comprehension because it needs a lot of practice).
Overall: you have to study a little bit otherwise your score will not change.
the how:
this forum is incredible resource. Search in the forum for specific questions such as modifiers or number properties(using Tags list by forum link, which you can find at the top of the page).
