How can I stop getting e-mails when someone replies? [#permalink] New post 25 Dec 2012, 06:32
Whenever someone replies to a thread I posted in, I get an e-mail alerting me of this. How can I make this stop?

Hi commdiver,

You are automatically subscribed to threads you have posted in, thus you receive emails when someone posts in those threads. To stop receiving those emails, go to your profile and update the settings:
Click on My Profile > Settings. The last option on the Settings page is "Notify me upon replies by default" -- change Yes to No and click Submit.

Hope that helps!

Also to add, if you have any posts that have been made BEFORE you change the setting.
For the posts that you have made before you change your profile setting, you need to either visit those posts and uncheck it or click Unsubscribe when you get replies.

Also! If you do not visit the post/discussion for which you receive a reply, you will NOT receive any more notifications about replies. You only get one notification (as long as you do not visit that post/discussion again). Hope it made sense.

This is still not working. I changed my settings in my profile, yet I still receive e-mails from threads I post in. I posted for the first time in a thread today and received an e-mail when someone else replied to it. Is there anything else I need to do?

Hm... can you tell me if you are still having issues?
Can you PM me please? it is working for me as I am able to unsubscribe from threads. If this is broken, it is a pretty big deal...
