How does 1000^12 = 10^36 and 2^24 = 2^4 and 10^6, i've been trying to understand this for the last hour, I have the

kaplan premier and it does not really go into detail on exponents.

Actually, 1000 =10^3

Therefore, 1000^12 =(10^3)^12=10^36

However 2^24 can not be 2^4 and 10^6. Please check from where you copied it.

My advice, you may want to follow Bunuel. His signature has lots of problems, corresponding solutions and the theory as well.
