It depends on what US schools are you comparing Oxford to.
In all honesty, a degree from a top 10 US school or from LBS/INSEAD is more highly regarded than a Said or Judge degree.
However, Said is considered a good 2nd tier MBA school. I believe that while Said would get you get you the same respect as an MBA from a 2nd tier MBA program. You will be slightly disadvantaged in your job search because Said has a smaller number of alumni in the U.S. However, if you are deciding between Said and second tier US schools and your heart is in attending Said, I would say go there.

depends on where you wanna work ultimately. for instance, an oxford degree will give you excellent opportunities in europe and asia, or even canada, but it won't have the same ring in the US as the top 10 schools. on the other hand, if you wanna take a degree from say UVA or georgetown or UCLA and go work in europe, they won't open the same doors as oxford. it you're interest is to work in the US, then by all means go for the top american schools. elsewhere in the world, it might be worth it to consider oxford over the lesser known top 20 schools in the US, since the undergrad reputation is so strong.

Oxford Said, or the University of Oxford?
The former is known as a top 10 international MBA - improving, but not quite the same category as LBS and Insead.
The latter is a liberal arts/sciences education that has equals in this world (Cambridge, Williams, Stanford, Princeton etc) but no superiors.
Reactions?

Oxford has an 'old boys' network from what I've been told.- if you went for an interview say at a top firm somewhere in London , I bet you'd meet someone with an Oxford degree, or be interviewed by someone who has one. Definitely an advantage! I'm applying for Oxford Said. The degree is good value for money compared to LBS etc. and the reputation of Oxford is second to none in the world
