Can somebody tell me how is the MSIT program from Heinz College , Carnegie Mellon Univ , received by employers and MBA adcomms ?
I have 4 years of exp in IT , and would be working in Boston from Feb 2012. So I would not be in a position to pursue the part-time on-campus mode ( if admitted) , hence will have to go for the distance mode. I want to ultimately go for a 1 year MBA in US/Europe later in my career ( after 3-4 years) but feel that a reputed Masters degree would be a good addition to my profile. Moreover I did not have business courses in my undergraduate level , and this would be a good opportunity to meet those prerequisites for 1 year MBA. My dream is the 1 year MBA from Kellog/Cornell/Judge . I have a GMAT score of 680(Q49/V33/5.5AWA) , TOEFL score of 107/120 , Btech from India (3.75 US GPA after conversion through WES -
https://www.wes.org) . I plan to take the GMAT again in Feb for a 700+ score. Can somebody suggest me the value of this MSIT degree both from the perspective of an employer and adcomm. Also if possible , can you suggest me some alternatives (cheaper options
) ?
PS: How does the Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) program from Harvard Extension School , Harvard University stand from all the above perspectives (
