How late can i give my GMAT in [#permalink] New post 25 Mar 2007, 15:16
Hello Everyone,

This is a wonderful forum and i was reading a few threads and i have a question and i would be relying on the experts here for their feedback on it.

I am giving my CFA this year in June and would also be applying for my MBA for yr 2008.

Since i would not be able to prepare for my GMAT before that, I was wondering by when i could safely give my GMAT and still make it comfortably for my application......

Should i do it in september........ would it be streatching it too far..... I intend to keep my application uptodate and shoudl be able to send everything by mid october.

I only intend to apply in HBS, WHarton and Stanford and maybe MIT as well......

Please give me your opinion,

Have a nice day and keep up the good work

God Bless
Regards

John

No september is too late IMHO. I did mine in October and had to resit which pushed my apps back to R2 / R3.

Ideally you need to take the test in July, to give you enough time to resit and meet the R1 deadlines.

But sooner the better IMHO.

@london ... thanks for the advice ... much appreciated

wow seems like i got a lot of work cut out for me now..... i guess i need to concentrate more on GMAT rather than CFA now which i can give in december anywayz........

or i am thinking more on lines of light prep for GMAT till june 3rd and after the cfa is over .... i could go with the GMAT in full swing and give it by mid july to end july

I think i am screwed ...... :D
cheers

A low GMAT will keep you out, but not having the CFA wont. On that basis I'd say if an MBA is your top priority then GMAT > CFA
