How long does it take...? [#permalink]
21 Jul 2008, 15:42
...To get your official score report? I'm planning to apply Columbia ED sometime around 8/13 and am considering taking the GMAT around 8/9. I want to know if I should push back my app or use the optional essay to simply explain that I am waiting for the official score. The ideal situation is that I get the official report in a week or less as to not delay anything.
Cheers, ryguy

It says to allow 20 days for schools to get the results, I have no idea how long it takes in reality.

I took my test June 30th and got the Official Score report (via email in .pdf format) 8 days later. The hard copy came in the mail within another couple days. It seems like this fits with at least a few other people know that have taken the GMAT in the last month or two.

Umm..IIRC Columbia doesn't require an "official" report until an offer of admission has been made. I think my report took less than a week to come through.

However, if my score improves (which is what I'm hoping for), I will need to provide the percentiles and the AWA scores. The percentiles can change from the unofficial score and the AWA won't be ready until it is graded.

With you on the AWA, I've yet to come across more than one instance however of the unofficial score %iles changing on the official report.

Mine changed. My Q49 was shown to be a 89% on the unofficial report but when I got the official score report it was an 88%.
