E

1&2. Area of rectangular lawn X is (0,(720/4)^2]=(0,32400]

The number of bags is [1,7]
insuff.

if perimeter of the lawn were 240, the answer would be C. It would be very tricky question :)

Walker - I agree with E.

But one of your assumptions here is tht the lawn is a square which it is not.

L + B = 360. (720/2).

Area of LB has a multitude of combinations and hence E.

at the constant perimeter, area of rectangle lawn is

minimum: rectangle is very narrow and Area --> 0
maximum: rectangle is a square --> 720=4a --> a=180 --> area=180^2=32400

Therefore area of lawn is in the range (0,32400]

Got it.

I agree that the question would have been very tricky if perimeter was 240...

Yeah, but [1,7]. 6 bags are not enough to use for the square lawn X.
