How many data sufficiency questions (out of 37) are there on the quant part?

On the same topic, does anyone know what the breakdown is for the verbal part (number of RC, SC and CR)?

Thanks.

I think its 20 PS and 17 DS but I'm not sure, just saw it on Wikipedia which is not necessarily reliable.

There is not a fixed number of DS questions. A few years ago, you would have normally expected to see only about 13 or 14 DS questions, but that number has apparently climbed. On recent GMATs, some have reported that more than half the Quant questions they saw were DS questions. The 17 that wikipedia reports is probably a decent guess at the average number on a current GMAT.

This is interesting. I have noticed that my performance is significantly better in MGMAT when the test gives me more DS questions. DS can be a time saver and guessing is marginally easier than it is in PS.

Interesting. Would getting more DS be an indication that one is doing well? I find DS questions are a lot harder for some reason. Do you guys have any special tricks when solving DS questions?
