How many of the whole numbers x, y and z are divisible by 3?

1) x,y and z are even, but only x is divisible by 6.

2) The product xyz is divisible by 3 but not by 9.

1) If x y and z all are even then all are divisible by 2.
Also only x is divisible by 6 that is only x is divisible is 2 and 3. Any even number divisble by 6 has to be divisible by 2 and 3. Since y and z are not divisible by 6 they are not divisible by 3.

Hence only one number is divisible by 3

2) xyz is divisible by 3 not 9. Again, that means the whole numbers x y and z only have one number that is divisble by 3
