-24 < 9k – 6 ≤ 3

Add 6: -18 < 9k ≤ 9

Divide by 9: -2< k ≤ 1.

k can take only one positive integer value: 1.

Answer: B.

-24 < 9k – 6 ≤ 3

Or, -24 +6 < 9k ≤ 3 + 6

Or, -18 < 9k ≤ 9

Or, -2 < k ≤ 1

Since, k must be a positive integer ; k = 1

Hence, correct answer will be (B) 1

0 is neither positive not negative, so no, k cannot be 0.

The question stem is asking for all positive integer values . Moreover zero is a non negative integer, thus it is not counted.

Simplifying the given inequality, we have:

-24 < 9k – 6 ≤ 3

-18 < 9k ≤ 9

-2 < k ≤ 1

So k can be -1, 0, or 1. There is only one positive value among these possible values for k, which is 1.

Answer: B

Add 6 throughout the inequality

-24 + 6 < 9k ≤ 9

-1 < k ≤ 1

Only 1 +ive value
