How many triangles can be drawn in a Hexagon such that no side of triangle coincides with that of hexagon.

Nowhere is it mentioned that the triangles have to be drawn using vertices only..also the question does not mention what type of triangles...

if thats indeed what the question means, i would say infinite triangles.

I tried to say the same; 2 is simply the most logical answer here (IMO).

my mistake: i should have mentioned triangles with vertices same as that of hexagon. But once this is mentioned i dont think it really matters what type of triangle. One can draw only 2 such triangles.

Just draw a hexagon and try to draw triangles such that only no sides are coincident. U can get only two triangles connecting (1,3,5) & (2,4,6) vertices.
right..?
