Do you know?

Interesting question came in and I actually never noticed this, so need some help from users who have recently taken the GMAT and perhaps remember this.

Did you see a timer in between the 2 AWA essays? Do you know the length of the break allocated?

Here is the actual question:
Quote:
How much time can you rest in the intermediate screen between the Analysis of an Argument essay and the Analysis of an Issue essay?
(I'm doing a GMATPrep simulation right now and I just finished the first essay, the Analysis of an Argument. Now in the intermediate screen it says this: "When you take the GMAT exam, you will have a specific amount of time to spend in this screen. However, in this simulation, this screen is not timed". So my question is: how much is this "specific amount of time"?)

I remember it to be around 1 or 2 mins to read directions. Nothing significant, but enough time to take a deep breath, stretch, and refocus attention on the next essay.

Agreed. It was certainly not enough time to leave the room. It was just a minute or two to read the instructions.
