Day 40 1.58AM

Its diwali festival week here......Shopping ,crackers , sweets and Gmat ...yeah good combination.....

Today i have completed MGMAT number prop chapter 5 on exponents....Very nice and informative..loved it...Had one mistake in the followed drill....

After that Completed MGMAT SC chapter 5 on pronoun...Interesting chapter had around 5 mistakes out of 15 in followed drill...But surprisingly got on 2ques correct out of 6....so verbal after 3 months not a very good start......

OCT 26 agenda

Review incorrect MGMAT SC pronoun
Start chapter 6 SC
start chapter 6 and 7 of number prop.
also will try to practice and review CR too....

Day 43 2.06AM still reading number prop chapter 8 strategies on Data sufficiency .....It looks like i had some other concept on my mind......Though the chapter is small but its taking time...To understand it completely....

Hi Prateek,

Have you considered taking a class? It sounds like there are some elements of the test you are struggling with. I used Manhattan GMAT and found it to be very helpful. Not only did they do a good job of teaching and testing concepts in a slightly more dynamic way than the books presented them, but it was helpful to be in a class with other bright people who were asking good questions.

A number of the test prep services offer online courses you can take from home. I would recommend looking into one. It may be able to accelerate your learning.

Hey thank you for the suggestion even i have heard good things about manhattan but since i have not taken gmat prep yet....I am waiting to complete my books then go for gmat prep 1 ....

Only after that i will know my present scores......

Back to study after long break.....Things are looking difficult now....Have to revise everything....It looks like i forgot everything.....

Started my day With MGMAT number prop....

Practiced all easy questions listed in MGMAT PS and DS both. Accuracy around 70%.

Completed MGMAT SC Modifiers OG 5/15 Accuracy...Now this is bad......Have entered it in Error log...

MGMAT Num prop - start Advanced section.......

Had a taste of MGMAT number prop.....Completed Advanced and with that whole books is completed, just left with OG Advanced practice.

Done MGMAT SC Verb,moods,Voice - Have to practice it from OG.....

Today i have repeated chapter 1 of word trans....Repeated there problem set....Its now understandable ......did OG ques too 60% accuracy.

i will move on to chapter 2 tomorrow.

Feeling lot more confident after reading chapter 1 word trans.....Day before yesterday i had 0 accuracy on mgmat problem set but after reading a practicing again.....Tested my self on OG....It really looked easy infront of mgmat problem set....

I guess this is the only reason mgmat is tough so that the real Gmat looks easy.....

BDW had a accuracy of 80%.

Finished ch 2 on Ratio's as well...Practiced from mgmat prob set around 65% accuracy.....

Today plan will search forums n practice word problems on gmatclub......

Day 66 and 67

Completed word trans ch 2 OG practice 70% accuracy.
Finished chapter 3 OG Prob set 90% accuracy.
Finished chapter 4 combinatorics.

Yet to finish OG practice or will do together with permutation....

Before 28 Nov i have to finish word trans....

Plan for Next week

29 Nov- Revision of sc till chapter 7 + gmat club test M25

30 Nov- Revision of CR power score + GC test M01

1st Dec - GC test V01

2nd Dec - MGMAT CAT 2

3 Dec - Rest

4 Dec - Gmat prep 1

Today i have studied just for half an hour finished chapter 6 probability, had to read it 2 times to clear my fundamentals.....Could not practice the problem set and OG ques for both combinatorics and probability....

We'll make sure that tomorrow i complete my pending practice before starting statistics.......

Dont want to miss even a day or else i will miss my current plan of completing word trans on 28 Nov....

Cant wait to test myself on GC diagnostic test...

Completed probability GMAT problem set (40% accuracy)
and OG ques on combinatorics and probability (75% accuracy)

Completed ch 7 statistics MGMAT problem set(80% accuracy) and OG ques (90% accuracy)

Nov 25 Agenda

Complete ch 8 overlapping set and if time permits ch 9 data sufficiency strategies.....

Also the OG ques that i practice are all PS.... havent done DS ques for word trans....Have to do day after.....

Completed ch 7 overlapping set mgmat problem set 100% accuracy and OG ques 95% .

Done ch 8 too minor problem set...mgmat problem set was a pain 40% accuracy and OG ques 100%.

Day 71 and Day 72

I have always seen this whenever i study for more than 2 weeks consecutively i waste like 2 to 3 days....day 71 and 71 were no exceptions....

I guess now i have to delay my plan of taking the 1st GC diagnostic test followed by other gc tests and cats...

Day 73 and Day 74

Completed All DS ques of OG from Mgmat word trans guide till chapter 10....

Ques were nice but i have noticed this that i really messed up with choice C and E in DS questions....may be because i dont finish solving the problem till the end.....

Today i finished ch 11 of word trans...problem set was good....still pending PS and DS ques of this same chapter....
Also just revised little bit of SC not from mgmat but thought for a change i should read kaplan premier..It was nice ..real till modifiers....

Nov 30 Agenda
Finish pending word trans till ch 11
Complete ch 12 with that finish Word trans....
SC revision...from kaplan premier and mgmat sc..

Find your pain areas and hone your time and energy fixing it. Ex I worked for a week during my final 3 weeks just doing SC!
