How to address a low GPA? [#permalink]
06 Jan 2013, 19:00
GMAT - 720 Undergrad from a top 10 engineering school (CMU) - 2.87 downward trend and I took 5 years to graduate. I worked full-time on the side at gas stations and grocery stores to pay for school and ended up failing classes etc. Not a smart move I know.
Do I mention this in my applications? I was paid in cash. Is it still ok to mention this or not?

Simply mention the facts -- working full time while pursuing an engineering degree is no easy feat. Just state it in a few sentences -- no excuses or apologies -- just the facts. Do not go into details of your pay - not their business. Kimberly Plaga Senior Admissions Consultant Manhattan ReviewCall for a free candidacy assessment.
