I took the gmat back in september and did horrible (450) thus dashing my dreams of business school for about a year or two...however, i've licked my wounds and am ready to go at it again

I used to frequent this site before, however I never fully utilized it the way I should have. After reading forums and the great info here, I want to properly use this site to get a great score as many have done

What is the best way to do this? Should I buy a Kaplan book and do the courses? please offer some guidance on the best way to utilize this site, thanks

700dreamer, welcome!

Here is a sticky for you to read....

As for Kaplan, I do not think that its worth the $1000+ but then again, there are some people that have benefited from it. What was your score breakup?
First find out your weakness and try to tackle it.

Also, can you tell us a little bit more about the preparation materials that you used?

Actually I took the Kaplan course (1 month inclass) and it did no good for me...the workload was way too much, and I never fully grasped all the concepts...I also did like 30% of the problems in OG 10th edition

This test can not be underestimated

my quant was a pitiful 25, and verbal was 27....however i did manage to score 5/6 on my essays

I have a long ways to go...trying to get at least a 650
