HOW to Improve - GMAT 560 (Q40, V27) [#permalink] New post 25 Mar 2006, 20:48
Hi Guys

I am new to this forum. I need some help figuring out what I can do to improve my score. I am planning to take the GMAT next month.

This month I took the GMAT for the first time, I felt like I was doing alright with the Math, towards the end I didn't have time to answer 3-4 questions had to just click away. I think I was checking and rechecking the answers.

The Verbal was a total surprise. I think I was doing much Math in the last week and didn't touch verbal as I thought I was doing alright. I had 2 back to back RC in the first 15 questions and one more around 25th question. It ate up my time and had to click away 9-10 questions towards the end.

I realize, phasing is going to be very important. I feel Terrible.

Any suggestions to improve my scores will be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hey.. happens man. The same thing happened to me. Just be regular with the Verbal section. Do it everyday. Dont focus on how much you can finish in a day, instead focus on how much you understand, and why do you not undestand, what you dont. Remember, the key is to understand and remember what you have studied. The verbal section can make or break your score.

I got 660 the second time around, primarily because of better performance on the verbal section. Go through the link below.
