how to improve on mock test scores? [#permalink] New post 02 Aug 2012, 16:12
hello Everyone,
I have been preparing for GMAT for past 2 months. I have written 1 GMAT Prep and 1 MGMAT mock test before starting preparation. I scored 650 (Q 47, V 34) and 660 (Q 45, V 35). then after preparation, in past 2 weeks I have taken 3 more MGMAT mock tests and I scored 700 in all 3 of them. I am consistently running out of time in quant section and forcing me to guess at least 3-4 questions at the end. I have run through all OG12 problem and Quant review2 problems with accuracy rate of 70-80% but in exam mode, my accuracy has gone down to 55-60%. How can I improve my accuracy? where else I can find more practice problems? my exam is in 2 weeks and I am really panicking!

Thanks in advance,
Aditya

MGMAT quant is cumbersome. If you face the same problem in GMATPrep, then you should fix it otherwise you can leave it. Take one more mock and if its just the last 5 questions that you struggle then guess one attempt one, guess one attempt one. Guessing in the sense you can skip reading the question itself, choose one choice and move on. This way you won't make any continuous mistake and can save time to answer atleast 3 questions. This is good only if are in short of time for 3 to 4 questions, anything more than that then you should fix your timing issues using some timing strategies. Check the above link for that. Hope this helps !!
