Hi, I am finding that in a set of questions on SC, almost 30-40% questions are going wrong for me. What should be done to reduce it to something acceptable (if there is anything like that. Ideally I would like it to ZERO.) I never realized I don't know so many rules of grammar. It is indeed the case from the above high error rate.

I see a lot of good and intelligent folks here preparing for GMAT. One of my friends recommended me this online club. Can you guys provide some solid reference / techniques to improve score on SC. I have already gone though Kaplan / OG strategies, however misses are too many..

I am no grammarian, however I was able to reach a point where I could get virtually every single SC correct, in under 45 seconds, by doing.... brace yourself.... 5~10K practice questions. That's an example of how to do it the HARD WAY.

If I could go back in time 16 months, I would buy three books: OG11, OG11 verbal supplement, and MGMAT SC. Although I never actually read the latter, I have seen a few of its online explanations and was quite impressed. If you master those three, you should be fine (80%+). If you want to increase your accuracy rate even higher, then put on your miner's cap and start digging deep into the archives of this forum. You will be amazed at what you find buried 100 pages back.

Good Luck!

GMATT73,

I'm certainly not opposed to the "hard way". That's usually the best way. How many math questions did you do? And were you able to get "get virtually every single correct PS and DS"? How about CRs and RCs?
