Are there signs that one is doing well on eith of the section of the exam? Are there certaing questions that give the test taker hints as to how they might be doing?................

Please let me know....

Not really unfortunately. The only thing you could count on being a good sign is seeing permutations or combinations - but even then, you cant really know. As for verbal, theres really no way to tell.
