Oh perhaps I have misunderstood. When I worked at a consulting company, I listed my employer as that company, and detailed projects in bullets

I thought the OP meant that he was in a contractor/temp role at the bank.

You did not misunderstand...I am specifically hired by abc consulting company on a temporary basis to be staffed on a project at xyz investment bank...I think its kind of both, since I am really in a temp role at a bank, but actually employed by a consulting company.

So it sounds like abc is your employer (even if only temporarily), and zyx is your client - which is how I'd recommend positioning it on your resume. Adcoms see plenty of resumes from consultants so it wouldn't be hard for them to understand the situation.
