How to present my Work Experience [#permalink] New post 13 Aug 2010, 05:37
Hi Alex,

While I was in my last year of college I was placed with a company with which I continued to work for a total of 1 year (including 6 months going to both job and college)

My question is, I know that they will not count my first 6 months of work ex as I was still in college, but due to this should I not mention about this job at all in my CV and take the entire thing to the optional essay? many a times they specifically ask about career progression since graduation but in my case I was continuing with my earlier job. Pardon me if this is a dumb question, but I am really confused about how do I present this. Thanks for your help. appreciate.

Ok, what I am trying to say is that I got a placement in a big company in October 2004, when I was still in college. My college went on till April 2005, but I continued my job till October 2005. Where do I put this work experience? My view is that since they dont consider work ex while still in college I will remove the entire thing off my CV and put it in the optional essay. What do you suggest? In few questions they ask about career progression since college, it is here that I get confused from where to start. Apologize, I should have been more clear. Thanks

Just leave it in there and make it clear that you started as an intern there.
