How to reach 750 ? [#permalink] New post 04 Feb 2009, 15:27
Hi everybody,

I have been studying the GMAT for 1 month and my score level is about 700. Until now, I've only used the OG11 and I have just finished it.
I need some advices for 2 things :
- First of all I would like to consolidate my score,
- Then, I would like to surpass this score of 700 and (perhaps) reach 750.

Regarding you experience, what book should I obtain to reach these objectives ?

Thanks a lot :)

May be you can try taking GmatPrep exam. that will give you close to real gmat score. you can download this software from mba.com (free).

Goodluck with your preparation.

if you read the gmat debriefs, there are a lot of great posts about different study plans and how people approached it. the answer will be, it varies by individual and you really need to understand what your improvement areas are. check out the debriefs. it'll also help if you can provide a more detailed explanation of what you're trying to achieve, aside from a score. it's hard to just hit a number. you should have more specific goals, like improving CR or DS, reducing careless errors made in quant, etc. each person has a different need and you'll see that clearly when you start to read how people got to their final score.

Hello again,

You're right, some information is missing....

At the moment :
- Q49
- V35

So I would like :
- to maintain or improve my quant' score (I've planned to pass the GMAT in 2 or 3 months, so I don't want to "decline"),
- to improve my verbal score.

I know that the majority of my mistakes are in SC so I've just bought the SC Manhattan GMAT prep.
I'm looking for harder exercises in quant, CR and RC.

Any idea ?

Thanks a lot !
