Re: How to score 440 and above in GMAT? [#permalink]
Hey Rich! Thanks for your input.
My next test will be on the second week of August 2016.

Techically I have two months to study. Yes I've been getting alot of informations that to get 440 I don't really have to study, but I got 310 with a little of studying. (But i'm not sure if my way of studying was correct) So I'm just nervous for my next test.

I'm using Kaplan as my study guide, do you have suggestions which book should I use? I didn't even use the GMATprep, and etc. I never tried to test myself before the exam, I just read the book, tried the math problems and that was it. I need to study harder.

*By the way, I'm sorry my english isn't perfect, I'm an International Student here in the U.S. I got accepted in a school in Michigan for MBA program. They gave me provisional status meaning I can join the program for 1 semester, and if I wanted to continue to 2nd semester, I have to pass GMAT with 440 as the score or above.

Also If I could score above 500 there will be scholarship for me.

500 I could get 15% off the tuition.
600 I could get 30%
700 I could get 50%

But now I'm just aiming for 440 so I can stay in the program.

Help me to become one of the GMAT assassins Rich.

Thank you.

Hi zedekiajoediaz,

To start, your English skills are fine, so you do not have anything to worry about there. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you're looking for, I would like to see how well you improve when you actually try to study. For the next week, you should put in some real study time with the practice materials that you already have, then take a new CAT. Once you have that score, you should report back here. While your score goal IS achievable, you will have to commit to a study routine for the next 2 months.

Hi zedekiajoediaz,

You mentioned using Kaplan as your study guide, but you did not specify which books or resources you have. If you respond with a list of the Kaplan resources you are using, I'd be happy to give you some advice on making the best use of them.

Best,
