You can find a link to GMAT Club Chat in the top link bar on every GMAT Club page. Here it is:
http://gmatclub.com/chat
Please abide by do not violate GMAT Club rules that can be found here:
http://gmatclub.com/wiki/GMATClub:Rules

Basic Chat features
When you access the Chat link you have to choose your nickname that will be displayed in our chat room. The default nickname is your forum user name. There are some good features present in our chat room. You can change your text color, put smilies and even translate your messages or all other messages to various languages on the go. It is possible to send PMs during chat (which is a significantly quicker way to talk to a person than an ordinary forum PM). To do so you have to click the nickname on the right (in the chat window) and choose "PM".

Usual chat times and how to invite members to chat
The most active discussions usually take place during North American business hours. You can invite other GMAT Club members to chat using this thread:
t74422-the-2009-chat-now-thread
The list of people currently in the Chat is displayed to the right from the "Tags list by forum" link at the top of every forum page. The chat status looks like this: "12 users chatting". Make sure you refresh the page to see accurate info.

Chat Clients
You have different ways to enter the chat room. You can join the channel #gmatclub at irc.mibbit.com in your favorite IRC client or simply use the GMAT Club embedded client.

Chat on Mobile Phone
If you are familiar with IRC clients for Mobile Phones (I've found these popular free IRC clients - jmIRC, WLIRC and CoolIRC), you can use them to connect to #gmatclub channel at irc.mibbit.com.

Etiquette
Please be NICE towards other GMAT Club members and help build the community. Do not attempt to impersonate another member - your IP is visible, will be logged and can be banned.

Just a heads up that chat is actually very active during working hours (10 am to 5 pm) with about a dozen or more members chatting!

EDIT: As I write this its 11:25 am with 13 users chatting.

EDIT #2: Good change regarding the chat hours!

Thanks for the edits. Anything else? Should we include more Chat related info in here? Did I miss anything? +1

Perhaps you could elaborate on PM (chat allows for 1 on 1 instant messaging which can be a better and faster way of communicating with specific members in lieu of sending regular private messages in the forums).

Some companies/providers block IRC (chat) protocol/code.
You may want to visit http://chat.mibbit.com/ and test the chat.
