The question: what is [(PI)R^2 - a] - [(pi)r^2 - a] = (pi)R^2 - (pi)r^2
= pi(R+r)(R-r) = ?

(a is the area of the overlapped portion)

Statement 1: R = r + 3k => R-r = 3k. We do not know the value of R+ r . So insuffecient.

Statement 2: will give the vale of R+r

Together: the answer would be 18(pi)
