The OA is B.

Can someone explain why the answer is not D? Answer B talks about the difference in the levels of enjoyment experienced when engaging in mental and physical activities. But is enjoyment the same as happiness?

(B) stands way out from others.
The author asserts that people aware of their intellectual abilities can not enjoy anything else but something that has to do with the intellect.
Whereas (B) provides with the best counter by saying that THERE ARE PEOPLE who are aware of their Intellectual and Physical abilities and still enjoy the LATTER more.

D is not correct because we can argue that those people have not become aware of these cognitive faculties.

Completely agree with bsarora's explaination. Furthermore, (D) does not mention any reason behind the happiness of serious athletes - it need not necessarily be physical activity.

I see. I guess D is out of scope.
