Even i thought answer should be D but OA is surprisingly A. And the explaination in OG for A is :
This statement properly identifies the factor that weakens the argument : a comparision could well be a valuable source of understanding if all forging societies are shown to share common features not found in other societies.
And Due to following explaination D is rejected:
That some anthropologists do not compare ancient and modern societies does not weaken the argument that such comparision should not be made.
But then the very fact that anthropologists are not using these studies for their inference clearly leaves no room for further argument.

It should be A .
Conclusion : The study is flawed
Reason : some anthropologist study the modern day foragers to know about ancient ancestors . forager societies vary and they have contact with new societies now.
Here the scope of the study is to study foragers to know about ancient ancestors .
A is correct as it provides the reason why the study is not flawed.
D says.. many => which many not be same as our some anthropologist
aslo it is agruing outside the scope of the study as the scope has to be to study foragers to know about ancient ancestors
