I have just started my GMAT preparation and find the material and all the information on this forum very helpful.

I am planning to take a couple of sample tests and then ask for suggestions. Keep working hard, this forum has given me lot of motivation. I am planning to buy a few books too.
This is what I am planning after I read through study plan for GMAT Novice, I am planning to start with "Kaplan GMAT 2010-2011 Premier" and then go for Official Guide.

Please post your plans.

Kaplan Premiere is not the book that will take you to the 700's by itself. Would recommend you hold off on the OG unless you are close to the score you need.... not sure if you missed that in the study plan....

I am just starting my preparation. I am very good at quant, verbal is something that I have to really work on. I am not that good in grammer to handle SC, please suggest me which book would be better choice.

I dont want to intrude in to chambax' s thread. I am planning to take a second prep test tomorrow, will post my questions along with my test scores.

Thanks a lot

Re: I'm looking for some advice regarding my study plan [#permalink]
Thanks very much for your comments bb!

I had already seen the study plan page, but seeing as i already started my studying on a different path (i.e. I did knewton, so verbal and quant together and now I have approx 2 mths left) I thought maybe the study plan didn't apply to me. But I'll have a better read and see if I can tailor it to my needs.

I do have one question though bb. You mentioned that you should hold off on the OG until you are more or less at your desired score... I remember reading that the OG only trains you to a certain score and doesn't have very many tough questions... so shouldn't one try and get it done and master the questions early on and then jump to the kaplan advanced books etc?

What about the OG Verbal and quant specific books? should i try those out directly after my Knewton course??

I'm sorry for all the questions, im sure you get so many!
